I rate this program high because there is nothing out there that can even touch the power and configuration options in The Bat!. The gapse is rapidly turning to their dis-advantage I am afraid. And communicate a bit more on what is to come tokeep us waiting. Ritlabs should better work a bit faster than they used to if they want to remain on the edge. And i will keep monitoring the mrket to jump away from the Bat as soon as possible, as I have done for the last three years. Shall we have to wait until 2015 to see that ? At the current pace of development, maybe. It is a killing features that would stand The Bat above the others. I can't understand the logic behind the fact that no e-mail client currently on the market allows for modification of received e-mail. received e-mail edition/annotation (the current annotation system is completly out of touch with a business need). The two most striking lacking features are : I which way do gradients improve a visual interface ? I wonder. The "improved convenient interface" is just bull s**t. The new Address History tab is amazing very interesting in a business context. Version 7.4.12 was released on February 16. NOTE: 7.4.10 was released on February 15. The Bat! is well worth the price, gets the job done, and is actively maintained. I likely wouldn't have problems if I was dealing with a lesser quantity of email. Again, it needs to be noted that I have a LOT of old and new emails from multiple active accounts. There are a few sticking points where I feel that some things take too long whereas Eudora was faster (ie syncing mail, performing searches, compacting, etc). I still prefer the layout and functionality of Eudora Pro 7.x but The Bat! covers most of my needs. I remembered The Bat! but I had never used it before but it allowed Eudora email importation. Neither fit the bill and only an ancient version of Thunderbird was even capable of importing Eudora 7.x databases. I experimented with many options including Mozilla Thunderbird and Pegasus Mail. I finally found myself having to move on with over a decade of older emails to somehow import into a new client. It handles very large message bases quickly and with small memory footprint.įor many many years I was holding on to using Qualcomm Eudora Pro 7.1.0.9.
